The banners of the Chu State and the Hedgemon King Xiang Yu fluttering above their army, the commissioned and volunteer forces of Chu marched upon the city of Bashang. Yet, as they neared within ten leagues of the walls of Bashang, the first signs of the Qin encampment was seen. Already the camp stirred, word brought from scouts having sent the camp into a whirlwind of activity. By the time the Chu forces had broken the gap, the Qin army stood ready to fight the armies of Chu.
