Similarly, if my character has gained a follower, is it possible for my follower to meet up with my character within the quest?

so why did greenfabre die again? (boat robbery)
also, not sure whats going on. If we can get a small update on the situation in the form of a list and what exactly our new objective is since Chi is dead. that would be awesome. example:
Boat 1:
Allied sailors: 0
PCs: Sho Tao (no injury)
NPCs: Chi (dead*)
Enemy Sailors: 0 (all dead?)
Objective : To rescue the other allies of the quest from the sinking ship.
Boat 2:
Allied sailors: ?
PCs: Niu Gongzhu (injury level here), Alexandrus Brutus Publius (injury level here)
NPCs: ?
Enemy Sailors: ?
Objective : To get the hell off the sinking ship!
Coast 1:
Allied sailors: ?
PCs: Lei Anshui (injury level here), Kijo Akki (dead?)
NPCs: ?
Enemy Sailors: ?
Objective : To shoot the crap out of the ships that don't contain Allied Npcs.

Your goal so far is to still scuttle the last of the vanguard ships and report back to camp for more orders.

The main goal of this quest is to capture the main convoy of trading ships and their goods.
Before the main robbery, you have been tasked with eliminating the vanguard of the trading convoy by ambushing them. The current ships you are fighting, you want to sink.

Since Alexandrus got beat up pretty bad by arrows and such is his injuries affect the game as a whole or just for the quest?
