"You turning me down is nothing new." Fei just smiles, content despite the bad news. "Our choice of not attempting to take down the towns around us may make us look weak compared to Huang Fu, but that is going to change, my Honored Lord. He has struck the first blow taking his gaze off the towns around us and fixing it on our town. Now we have no choice but to defend what we love. I have taken the time to bolster my own troops and train them as best I can. War is not for the faint of heart, but the only thing more dangerous than war is daring to love."

The girl straightens up where she sits a little, eying Dang a bit more than she had dared to before. "Keep your eyes to the west, Esteemed One, but only do it because a new sun is being born. Should you need our assistance one day, it won't be because Huang Fu's forces are knocking at your door. I will make sure of that." She winks, finally standing. Their business is done and taking up any more of his time would no doubt annoy him more than anything else.

Ma Su nodded, not aware of the association the two had. "That sounds easy enough." He rose to his full height, and bowed deeply. Cheng Dang was the type of person who Su could turn into in a few decades, he thought. But seeing the present as it was, his personal mission completed, he said "Thank you for seeing me today. I am sure we will meet again." He looked to Fei and Ning, who still seemed to be chatting. Unsure of whether he should stay to continue talking with the woman or not, he said to the pair of them "It was good meeting you both. If either of you are heading out of the city then we should travel as a group tomorrow. My horses need rest today."

It was apparent that the all matters of business had been finished. Cheng Dang rose finishing his cup of water, he casually tossed it over his shoulder on the grass and his personal dish washer ran to grab it

Bowing he spoke.

Its been a pleasure Jia Fei, Ma Su. My servants here will see that you are both stocked and have quarters if you choose to spend the night. Squinting he looked at the sun, which was now directly overheadIts already midday and I have a city to run.

He took one last look at Jia Fei, and shook his head ‘no’ after he turned around back into the main complex.

"I would not mind traveling with you, Honored Ma." The young woman said after they were both freed of their respective audiences. It seemed to her this day would not be a complete waste of time. "Shall we leave to regather our men and update them?" Her hand gestures for the way out of the courtyard. Dang was courteous enough to offer them a place to stay, but her men require one as well so she feels more at ease sleeping elsewhere.

Ma Su smiled and nodded at Fei's suggestion. "Have to make sure they're not acting irresponsibly now." He chuckled lightly, letting Fei lead the way out of the courtyard and through the gates. When they got outside again, he breathed in the fresh air of Wei; it felt good. Looking down at the two escort groups, he ordered his own men, leaving Fei's men to her. "Alright lads, we're staying the night. Report back here tomorrow when the sun rises." They all saluted before riding their horses to the city stables and running into the city for a late night of fun no doubt, yelping and screaming with excitement. "They're like children," Su commented, grinning as he did. "So, you were saying earlier you're touring much of the countryside in search of allies. Will you be visiting Chu soon?"

Fei does much the same as Su, releasing her men to the city and no doubt even more trouble. "They are little older than children, us as well." The girl giggles at them and how two of her men are in a shoving contest already. Luckily the are childhood best friends so she isn't worried. There is a softness to her face as she watches.

"I don't see why not. My Lord and I don't hold the same...distaste for Esteemed Xiang Yu as Honorable Cheng Dang appeared to have. If he would have an audience with me, I would be extremely honored."

Fei's open assessment of Cheng Dang caught Su by surprise. "It seems like only the capital is full of silver tongued folk," he thought to himself. He replied curtly "Magistrate Cheng will decide what is best for his people in the end." He started leading the pair of them down the steps and into the city center as he continued. "I am sure that you will be able to visit our Hegemonic King in person if you write ahead of time. Your lord, Zoku, how large are his armies? And where exactly is this Shang town you mentioned?" He had honestly not even heard of Zoku before, he must have a pretty small force Su thought.

"We are but a small town, my Lord. Of little consequence to any but it's people. A mere speck of sand caught up in the ocean waves that is the Middle Kingdom. It would seem, most places I visit come to this same conclusion and turn us away as allies. You have seen that with your own eyes today. We reside in the providence of Di to the west of here." Fei will follow beside Su politely, content to chat for now. Some of the local men catch her eye as potential men for her army, but now is not the time for such things.

"Although, we did once have an interesting invitation to a Lord Zhefu's residence in Qi. I wonder, have you heard of the banquet that took place there?" Fei is wearing symmetrical red robes with black fringe, and twin swords to either side of her pushed into a black ribbon. However, it is not her weapons that she draws, but a single black lace fan that she waves to cool herself down. The noon sun is quite hot after all.

(A little bit of a timewarp going on, since I rped with Chou Yu in the tavern.)

Ma Su nodded politely, he had been right about her army. "She'd probably be of much more use in a large force," he thought to himself. He was very confused, almost dumbstruck by what she spoke of next. So this was the woman who had gone to that meeting. He was able to contain his outward surprise from going beyond a raised eyebrow, but his mind was racing. Feigning ignorance, he replied "I have heard of a person named Zhefu in Qi, but not much about his banquet. Tell me, how did you like what he spoke about?"

He looked around at the people selling things and the bustle of restaurants, thinking of how best to use his terrain in case of a dispute occurring, with a woman no less. He took off his helmet briefly to cool his head, revealing a shortly cropped haircut plastered down on his scalp from the heat before remounting his helmet.

"Do you think I'd be talking to you about it if I thought well of what he said?" The pretty lass can't help but start to laugh at the idea. "You must think quite low of me, but I suppose I have been saying quite a bit that most would not say. Although, you must admit, knowing your alliance is to Xiang Yu does take away some of the worry there. I can be blunt, which is a breath of fresh air for someone who is not an ambassador by trade. I can only imagine you are enjoying my ease as well."

She drinks from her glass of water. It has been a long journey for her and just refreshing, cold, fresh drawn water is more than enough to satisfy her. "To be honest, I didn't care for what he had to say, but the food was free and so was the intel." Fei winks at Su, looking fairly relaxed even though he is probably all the more tense.
