"Nothing untoward at all."

"Are you trying to threaten to the Guv'ner?"

"We take threats to the Guv'ner quite seriously."
Dai Wu sighs and shakes his head as he walks away from the guards on his journey back to to his town.

Walking his way through the streets of Zhaoge, Dai Wu looks around himself with some interest in his surroundings. Finally arriving at the governmental buildings he nods casually to the guards before introducing himself Dai Wu lets an easy smile show itself on his face.

"Hello, I am Dai Wu, District Manager of Henei and I would like to enquire as to whether it would be possible to have an audience with the governor if possible."
"District manager, you say?" The guard said with an easy smile. "Well, the governor likes to make time for everyone. Yeah, you wait here and I will go get someone. No problem." The guard turned to one of his companions on duty and then jogged off inside the governmental complex.

It was not long before he returned with a perfumed eunuch at his side. The nearly hairless man was dressed in silks of pink and red and save for his eyebrows had only a small top knot of hair.

In a slimy voice the eunuch spoke, reaching out and touching Dai Wu's arm. "Come with me, Sir Dai."

Dai Wu was guided into a small chamber filled with cushions, fruit, and wine. The eunuch released his feeble grasp on Dai Wu's arm and flopped down onto a bed of cushions. "Now.. what do you want with the governor?"

Liu Bang then asked Han Xin, who had served under Xiang Yu but was driven out, "what is Xiang Yu's weakness? Is there a way to defeat him?" Han Xin calmly replied, "No, Xiang Yu himself is invincible, he is destined to be king."

Dai Wu smiles as he picks up a small cup of wine, holding it to his lips allowing a slight smile to make its way onto his lips. Setting the cup down gently he meets the eunuchs eyes trying to seem to the man to be one of much acumen and wealth.

"Well, I wish for what anyone else wishes for that is the favour and perhaps assistance of the governor in a small matter. However, I recognise their is often a problem with this and would would like to enquire if there might be some person I can contact to expedite my importance and allow me greater access and influence with the man via the application of shall we say a...golden lubricant?"

"Yesss... Gold will help you in this matter." The eunuch sniffed at the air then languidly reclined further. He unabashedly slid forward his hand and uncoiled his fingers to display his soft palm. "I happen to be just such a man." He giggled at his own joke and continued to hold out his palm. "The governor is a very busy, busy man. Can't see everyone, but I do happen to hold the schedule. This city is so very big. Hard for one man to run all by himself. Men like me, we help the good governor." he giggled again. "I could help you."

Dai Wu smiled and let his hand linger in the pouch at his waist before leaving it slowly again and sipping at his wine again. Chuckling softly he leans forward slightly in his seat before whispering in a low tone of voice something even more obscure.

"Well, I have to say I believe the action I have planned shall require that I spread gold around rather more...liberally than just with yourself, you see my most earnest wish is that this city be ran by a man who understands fully how to treat ones subordinates, makes sure that all people in government get their full due if you understand what I implicate, might you be able to find people who share such an...shall we say...opinion should sufficient evidence of a man's...generosity be given to people in large enough quantities?"

The eunuch's eyes narrowed to thin slits and he leaned forward, his upper lip curling. "Perhapsss." He then fell back into his recline and let his hand wave in the air before him. "But if you want such, you will need to first prove that you are a man of generosity and wealth.." the eunuch's hand ceased its waving and fell forward, palm open and waiting.

"You do realize the people, in their infinite wisdom, may not support you.." The eunuch made it sound like an insult. "of course, the people control very little. It is men such as you and I who decide things."

((OOC: Pre-Zhao Move))

Mobilizing an army was no easy task, but it was one that Rui had been taught to do with ease while under the tutelage of his now deceased master, alongside his distinguished classmates. Logistics, convoys, formations--all of this, Rui had been drilled into knowing by heart, and his near-perfect memory ensured that, at least on the theoretical level, he knew every plan, every ploy there was. On the practical level, however, he still needed quite a bit of practice before he had all he knew down pat.

Moving from Yin, however, was harder than he wanted to admit. Whatever his desires to break away from his birthplace, the tug of homesickness pulled at him something fierce, but his determination was as solid as steel. He had to do this. He had the opportunity in his hands to become a bona fide military advisor, and he couldn't pass it up for something as transient as homesickness.

Rui coughed a bit into his sleeve, a little irritated by the act. His health had been deteriorating these past few days and, while he could keep up pretenses of healthiness for a while longer, it wouldn't last. Eventually, he'd have to take it easy or risk killing himself through his work.

Even as he knew that, however, he still raised the small blue flag in his hand and waved it to his left. "Left flank! Tighten up formation!" he heard Ning bark down the hill as his friend noticed the order.

Almost a thousand troops he had gathered, but their training was shoddy at best. Still, they were necessary to the Yi clan's plans in Zhao, and Rui was determined to see his friends' ambitions through to the end. He coughed again.

He just hoped he would get to see that day before his time ran out.

(OOC: Closed RP for MarquisBlack)

As the army formed up and began to make its way north towards Zhao, a relatively ornate looking carriage could be seen coming down the path, heading in the opposite direction. The driver, swiftly guided the carriage off of the path, to allow the soldiers passage north. Pulling back the heavy cloth that obscured the front, the elderly gentleman within gazed out upon the troops. With the help of his attendant, the elderly gentleman stepped out of the carriage. Leaning against a tree, he spoke, hailing the man that seemed to be the leader of these troops. "To where do you go? From where do you come from?" he asked in a polite and curious voice.

There was no recognition in Rui's eyes as he gazed on the newcomer, but his handsome face still offered a welcoming smile as addressed him. "From Yin to Zhao, mister," he answered cordially. Idly, he lifted his arm again, this time waving the flag right-ward, and almost immediately there was a commotion down the hill.

"Right flank, tighten up!" all but roared Ning down the hill, sadly not as adept at leading as his friend atop the hill.

"Busy work it is," Rui noted, amused as he spared the situation a glance. Ning seemed to have the situation in hand. "But necessary. War's coming to the north."

"It seems that war is coming everywhere," replied the elderly gentleman, shaking his head sadly, "Blown by the winds of change. We mortals are but shadows and dust, powerless before the events that shape and mold the Middle Kingdom. Mere years after the Qin unified the Middle Kingdom there was a reckoning for their crimes against humanity. Now it seems that the crimes of Chu and its Hegemonic King will finally be judged by the Heavens . . . A reckoning will be had for Julu and Xianyang. Where there was once peace . . . there will be war once again. Perhaps Chu's hegemony will continue, perhaps it will not."
