Morning: Buy Equipment: Improved Traps (100 - 15 = 85 Gold), 5 Torches (85 - 25 = 60 Gold), 3 Bait (60 - 15 = 45) and Escape Rope (45 - 5 = 40 Gold)
Afternoon: Set Traps in the Woods
Evening: Investigate Local Hunting Grounds
Evening 2: Explore the Caves

Hunting, unlike partying and sleeping with women, it was one of the few activities Liang Zhuwen enjoyed doing that wasn't unproductive. So when he head of the hunting festival, Zhuwen joined with glee.

The first day of the festival arrived, and Zhuwen rubbed his chin at what to do first. Apparently, a beast was in the area, and Zhuwen was quite interested in finding it and killing it himself. However, he did not know if the rumors were even true, and he sure wasn't going to waste time searching for something that did not exist. So he decided to just hunt normally for now and investigate about the beast later. During the morning, Zhuwen bought a few supplies for hunting before he went bragging and flirting with the local girls that he was the best hunter in the whole land. In the afternoon, he decided to lay the traps he bought, his work unprofessional but still able to catch prey. When he was finished with the traps and it turned to evening, Zhuwen decided trying to hunt at night was unproductive, so he decided he would ask the locals for the best places to hunt for the next day, preferably with tigers if possible. Most men would stay away from such dangerous animals, but Zhuwen was a fearless warrior. Or a reckless idiot. For the night, he decided to find a woman to sleep with, but unfortunately, his usual charm didn't seem to attract any. Bored and not wanting to sleep in early without a woman like a pansy, he decided he would go exploring the local cave he heard about.

Skills: Aid II, Jianshu I, Military Admin II, Raid I, Wall II
Items: The Art of War (Com+6) [Book], Iron Lamellar Cuiras (Might+4) [Armour]

Morning: Purchase 3 days worth of torches (15 gold) 2 days worth of guards (20 gold) Improved Traps (15 gold) and Bait (5 gold) 600-15-20-15-5=545 gold left
Afternoon: Investigate Rumors
Evening: Scout Woods
Evening2: Stalk Woods

Morning Supplies purchased and guards hired
Tianshi knew the first thing he needed was supplies, and immediately purchased a few days worth of torches, as well as some traps and bait. Not wishing to take any chances, he also hired a few helpers for the next two days, hiring a pair of large bodies named Lin and Cho, respectively. Not the brightest of people, but capable of following orders, if nothing else. Deciding he had everything he needed, he left his horse in the village, and ate a quick meal, before setting off just after noon.

Afternoon Investigate Rumors
Rumors of a ferocious beast had been dispatched with the invitation to this hunt, and although removing the threat was not a requirement, hunting and catching the beast seemed to be the easiest way to win this contest. Tianshi decided to start off by checking around the village for any tracks the creature may have left. Querying Lin and Cho as to where the latest sighting of it had happened, he started his search there, looking for any clue the beast may have left behind

Evening Scout woods
With the setting of the sun, Tianshi knew the real hunt would begin. Prey moved around during the day, while their hunters stalked the night. It seemed only logical to him to search at night for a worthy trophy, as the creatures out in the night where those that creatures out during the day feared and avoided. Keeping the torches unlit for now, and using moonlight and his own adjusted vision, Tianshi led the other two into the woods to scout for game trails and fresh tracks.

Tie Yi Tianshi in a low whisper "Keep low and quiet. I want one eye on the ground, and one eye around us. Don't neglect to listen, and even smell. Any tracks, any trails, anything like that, whistle once. You spot trouble, whistle twice. Keep within sight of everyone, and report back in an hour."

Lin and Cho also in a low whisper "Yes, my lord"

Evening2 Stalking the woods by torchlight
After a few hours, they had gathered everything they could, and the hunt was on. Lighting two torches, and handing them to Cho and Lin, Tianshi took up the hunting spear in one hand, and a short knife in the other, and started off into the woods, using any game trail or clue he discovered as a point of reference. Keeping his eyes sharp, and making sure the torches where downwind from him when he could, he tracked with sound and smell, hoping their approach would startle something into movement.

Items: Axe, +7 might. Book, +5 Judge. Horse, +2 speed

Morning: Investigate Local Hunting Grounds
Afternoon: Stalk Foothills
Evening: Stalk Lake

The North, Xingtu found, was quite a disappointment. He'd come expecting enormous mountains and hard, snowy fields - and what he found was something more moderate... and more tiresome. It was just cold enough to be uncomfortable, without being truly dangerous - too warm for fur coats, but too cold for his normal clothes from Chu.

It was still early in the day when he arrived in Chai, where he would dismount from Ying Zheng and spend a few hours mixing in the crowds that had assembled for the great event, pressing everyone he knew for information on the hunting grounds. The forest seemed too obvious to him - all his rivals would be hunting it, and the worthy prey would be driven out or slain. It was the foothills that held his primary interest, and the odd shining object he saw between two hills. It could only be a river or a lake, and when he finally departed the village he set his course for it, determined to scour the foothills for any sign of a worthy kill.

Morning: Investigate Rumors
Afternoon: Scout the Woods
Evening: Investigate Local Hunting Grounds

Having just come upon the village of Chai, Fang Ai was hesitant to dive right into the action. He decided it was best to investigate rumors related to this stalker beast that he had heard about. With the sun just up, he figured the best place to go would be the merchant stands, where he could meet a variety of people in and around the area. He made an attempt to find a farmer or two, since he did recall specifically mention of it attacking livestock; perhaps one of them could detail the event in a way that would be helpful.

After a while, he decided to scout the nearby forest. It wasn't exactly exciting, but he was unfamiliar with the area and figured it couldn't hurt. Also, considering he wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for, it seemed like being able to identify the normal sorts of creatures that roam the wilderness would be of benefit.

Briefly he considered ending his night by the lake, but instead, he headed for whatever hotspot might be open at night; preferably a bar. When there, he tried to engage the locals in talk of the hunt, hoping that the spirits ingested might make them a bit more loose with the information than otherwise. That, and it just seemed like a good way to unwind from what was likely an uneventful day.

He describes it as a massive bear with burning red eyes and wings like a bat. He also describes it as being quite intelligent and a excellent swordsman who has descended upon the land to kill them all!... Well, that was worthless.
Afternoon: Fáng Ai scouts the woods and discovers NUMEROUS game trails! Fáng Ai is considered to have the bonus of Scouted in the Woods for the next two days. Critical success!
Evening: Fáng Ai investigates local hunting grounds and is told by a rather intelligent drunk that fish seem to populate the wood's trees!... Yeah.

Having found the locals lacking any sort of intelligence whatsoever, Fang Ai chose to take to the woods again. The day was long, but he was determined to kill anything and everything he came across, ecosystem be damned! Starting out early in the morning, he used his good knowledge of the forest to assist him in killing whatever woodland creature might dare cross his path. He hunted from morning through the evening, weather and health permitting, until nothing was left alive.
